About the Edmond de Rothschild Partnerships
The Edmond de Rothschild Partnerships organization was established in 2016 by the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation as its non-profit operative branch. It acts to reduce disparities in Israeli society and ensure equal opportunities for youth and young adults from Israel’s socio-geographic periphery. The organization provides one home for leadership programs for youth and young adults.
We believe that investing in young leadership, with emphasis on fair and active representation of the socio-geographic periphery, will make a tremendous impact on Israel’s social climate, and result in a more equitable and balanced society, which strives for the common good.
We support the values of equal opportunities, continual learning, innovation, responsibility, cooperation, and partnership. These values underpin all our activities and we instill them in our program participants.
We focus all our efforts on the personal and professional development of our participants. Our programs integrate knowledge, awareness, and social activism with personal, academic, and vocational development. To utilize these tools to the fullest and translate them to achievements in the field, the EdR Partnerships’ programs and activities operate nationwide, through heterogeneous group that represent the diversity of Israeli society, towards advancing equality in both resource distribution and opportunities.

A business and social entrepreneur with over 30 years of leadership experience, who held key positions at Check Point Software Technologies, including as head of M&As and Business Development. In addition, Barak served as chair of the board of SofaWare Technologies, where he also managed the company’s donations committee. In the public and social arena, he was acting director-general of the Ministry of Minority Affairs under Minister Prof. Avishay Braverman. He co-founded Bazelet, a life-changing NGO for youth from low socio-economic backgrounds and is a former board member of Agenda – the Israeli Center for Strategic Communications. Today, Barak is the Edmond de Rothschild’s program officer for leadership.

Michael (Miki) Kliger is Deputy Chair of the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation (IL) and heads the activities of the Edmond de Rothschild Group (Israel), including private banking, asset management (mutual funds and portfolio management), and private equity. Before he joined the Edmond de Rothschild group in 2001, he worked at the Safra Group as a professional assistant to the CEO of the First International Bank of Israel (1996-1999), and as the chief investment manager of the First International Bank’s provident funds (1999-2001). Miki holds a bachelor’s degree cum laude in economics from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from Bar-Ilan University.

The Director of Philanthropy at the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation (IL), where he is responsible for the Foundation’s philanthropic management and for developing and implementing its strategy. For over 20 years, Elli has been involved in developing and leading innovative solutions for social challenges. He established educational programs in Israel and abroad, and was a founder and executive director of the Kav Hazinuk program., Elli holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Bar-Ilan University and a master’s degree cum laude in public policy from Tel Aviv University.

Managing Director of the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation (Israel)
Adv. Tal Sagi Faran serves as the Managing Director of the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation (Israel) and as its Secretary of the Council of Governors. In this capacity, Tal is responsible for the corporate governance of the group. Prior to joining the Foundation (from 1997 to 2011), she was an associate at the Efrati Galili & Co. law firm, which specializes in the fields of corporate and commercial law, high-tech and mergers and acquisitions. Tal, who joined the Foundation in 2009, is also involved in all the Foundation’s philanthropic activities, including the Foundation’s strategy. Since 2016, she also serves as is the Director of the Edmond de Rothschild Center, located in at the Foundation’s headquarters of the Foundation on Rothschild Blvd., Tel Aviv. Tal holds a BA in literature and philosophy from Tel Aviv University (1997), and an LL.B from Reichman University (IDC Herzliya, 2003).

Michael Karsenti has served as CEO of the Caesarea Edmond Benjamin de Rothschild Development Corporation and the Caesarea Edmond Benjamin de Rothschild Assets Corporation Ltd., Israel. The companies under his management are the executive arms of the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation (IL) and are engaged in land improvement and development of the Caesarea lands, development of the smart business park, the tourism and recreation fields, and expanding the Foundation’s income-generating holdings portfolio. Michael, who holds a BA in business administration and information systems and an MBA specializing in real estate, is a lieutenant colonel (ret.).

Merav Rotem Naaman is a general partner in the State of Mind venture capital fund. In the past, she served as CEO of Verizon Ventures and led its venture capital activities in Israel and Europe. Prior to joining Verizon, she founded and managed the Israeli investment arm of AOL. She has been a member of numerous boards of directors, closely working with some of Israel’s top founders. She headed Better Place’s Strategy and Operations, Cellcom’s regulation, and served as a consultant for Bain & Co in San Francisco. Merav holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a law degree from Tel Aviv University.

Owner and CEO of Isra-Connext Ltd., which develops resources and implements strategic plans for non-governmental organizations and municipalities in Israel. A former vice president in the Jewish Federations of North America organization and the manager of its Israel Education Fund, which invested hundreds of millions of dollars in promoting educational projects in the State of Israel.

Anat Nehemia Lavee came to the Edmond de Rothschild Partnerships in 2019 with vast experience
leading national non-profit organizations. In her previous position as CEO of The Israeli Public Forum
for Youth Villages and Boarding Schools for Children at Risk, she worked with 18 philanthropic
partners, and created and managed the Public Forum, with 70 representatives of government
ministries, philanthropies, youth villages, non-profits and other stakeholders. Previous to that, Anat
was the Director of the Alumni Society and Doctoral Programs – ISEF, the International Scholarship
Education Foundation, where she built an organization of ~4,000 activist alumni; established an
interactive on-line platform of social networks; managed a program of 50 doctoral fellows, including
selection, on-going support, annual activities, financial management of scholarships, etc.; and raised
funds from amongst the alumni.
After graduating from the Young Leadership Development in the Periphery course, Anat became its
Program Coordinator. That led to her positions at Zionism 2000, first as Project Manager and then
Deputy Managing Director, where she developed and ran national social projects, working with local
and national government leaders, businesspeople, North American Jewish communities, and others.
Anat then spent four years in Tokyo; upon her return, she was appointed by the Prime Minister's
Office as Coordinator of the Constitutive Roundtable for Inter-Sector Discourse.
Anat holds an MA in Public Policy and a BA in Political Science and General History, from Tel Aviv
University, she is also a graduate of its Directors and Senior Executives Course; the Social Leaders
Course at Kolot; and Maoz's Fellows Program and Senior Management Course, at Harvard's Business
School.
